The Wildebeest Migration Kenya 2027 is set to be one of the most spectacular wildlife events of the decade. This 10-day journey is meticulously designed for those who seek “Travel with Purpose”—combining high-end luxury with deep conservation impact.

From the leafy streets of Nairobi to the rugged plateaus of Laikipia and the iconic plains of the Masai Mara, this itinerary offers a front-row seat to nature’s greatest survival story.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) early in the morning., our dedicated hotel representative will be waiting to receive you. They will assist with your luggage and escort you to the private transfer vehicle for a short drive to Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel, where you are booked on a bed and breakfast basis. Once at the hotel, the front desk team will facilitate a swift check-in process, allowing you to settle into your well-appointed room. You can then proceed to the hotel’s restaurant, where a delightful breakfast will be served. After breakfast, the remainder of the day will be at your leisure, allowing you to unwind and recuperate from your journey. You may choose to relax in the comfort of your room, enjoy the hotel’s amenities such as the rooftop pool with stunning airport views, or visit the spa for rejuvenating treatment (available at an additional cost). Lunch and dinner will be at your discretion and can be enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurant, which offers an excellent selection of local and international cuisine. These meals will be payable directly by the guests.

Day 2: Fly Ol Malo Ranch

Today, you’ll wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. You can also leave some of your baggage at the hotel for storage. Later, our hotel representative will pick you up at approximately 08:30 a.m. for a transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your early morning scheduled flight, departing at approximately 10:20 a.m. and arriving at Loisaba Airstrip at 11:20 a.m. Upon landing, a 45-minutes transfer through the rugged northern landscape brings you to the Ol Malo House. After checking in and enjoying lunch, you’ll head out for your first game drive to spot the “Northern Five” species—including the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe—followed by a signature sundowner as the sky turns to gold.

Day 3: Full Day at Ol Malo Ranch

Today you can choose from a range of activities and choose whether to go on your first safari drive, safari nature walk with an experienced Samburu guide, or even go horse or camel riding on the plains — a wonderful way to see the wildlife.

Day 4: Full Day at Ol Malo Ranch

You might spend your day walking or perhaps head out on a morning safari. In the afternoon, you can pay a visit to the local Samburu people and head to the market before heading back to the lodge for an evening stroll and sundowners. All meals at camp are home-cooked and served alfresco under the shade of a tree, or beneath the stars.

Day 5: Transfer to Loisaba Wilderness Conservancy

Departing from Ol Malo, you’ll travel overland to Loisaba Conservancy, a short 30-minute journey. Spend your first night tonight settling in at the main Loisaba Tented Camp. The camp is perched on the edge of an escarpment and offers sweeping views — you can soak them up as you relax by the pool or on your own private veranda before heading out on a sundowner safari drive.

Day 6: Loisaba Wilderness Conservancy

Spend another immersive day at Loisaba, perhaps focusing on the conservancy’s pioneering conservation work. You may choose to visit the headquarters to learn about their anti-poaching units or spend time at the wildlife blinds, quietly observing animals as they come to drink at the marshes. The day concludes with a final evening drive, offering a chance to spot nocturnal species like the elusive leopard or the white-tailed mongoose before a gourmet dinner under the stars.

Day 7: FLY FROM LOISABA AIRSTRIP TO MASAI MARA

Depart the Laikipia Plateau and fly south to the Masai Mara. Between July and September, the herds of the Great Migration move north from Tanzania into Kenya’s Masai Mara, moving back and forth across the Mara and Talek rivers in search of water and grass. Spend the next few nights at Sand River — its location right on the migration route is ideal for witnessing all the action.

Day 8: A FULL DAY AT MASAI MARA

You will be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is shared, your game drive timings are only in the morning and afternoon. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 9: FULL DAY AT MASAI MARA.

Today you will also be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. You may want to add a Hot air Balloon ride or a visit to Maasai Village into your safari (Optional activities at additional cost – please enquire with us]. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 10: FLY FROM OLEKIOMBO TO NAIROBI WILSON AIRPORT (APPX 1 HR) ENJOY EXCURSION THEN TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL

Following breakfast, you’ll check out of your camp, relax for a bit then proceed to Ol kiombo Airstrip for morning flight departing at 11:00 a.m. to arrive at 12:20 a.m. at Wilson Airport. On arrival, you’ll be met by our driver guide and proceed to Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for your delectable lunch. After enjoying your lunch, proceed to the adjacent Karen Blixen Museum. This museum was once the center piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. If you loved the movie Out of Africa, you’ll love this museum in the farmhouse where author Karen Blixen lived between 1914 and 1931. From the Museum, proceed to the famous Nairobi Giraffe Centre where you’ll get to encounter the endangered Rothschild giraffes and even hand-fed them. Spend about an hour here before proceeding to Carnivore Restaurant for your farewell dinner. The restaurant’s specialty is meat that are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge charcoal pit that dominates the restaurant’s entrance. The restaurant also has a place for vegetarians who will be well catered for and in an all eat as much as they can set. From Carnivore you’ll be dropped off at Nairobi Sheraton Hotel where you’ll pick your extra luggage and transfer to JKIA for your homebound flight
